Granville Island Engagement Photographer

Whenever you go somewhere new, you have to do some exploring. And that is what we did with Jocelyn and GP. We were exploring light in Granville Island. What do I mean by that? Well, when you get handed a really sunny day to do engagement photos you either avoid the harsh light that creates nasty shadows or you embrace it. And that is what it is all about when you are a photographer, creating interesting images for cool couples like Jocelyn and GP.

We met by Bridges Restaurant. And we started walking towards the dock and they were explaining how these tiny boats were actually taxis. The taxis looked like tiny tug boats. It was so cute. A lot the Granville Island area is very artistic. Theres loads of graffiti, art, little markets, cool and unique stores and spots. We definitely took advantage of that.

We got to know each other. These two work in the creative field just like me. GP is a cameraman and Jocelyn is a graphic artist. They have been in Vancouver for a while now and this spot is one of their favourites. After the session, we ended up right back at Bridges Restaurant were a noticed the bakery A Bread Affair. I had the best cookies of my life there. Highly recommend. This is why I absolutely loved this session, and why I loved exploring light in Granville Island.
